The Introduction to Carotid Duplex/Color Flow Ultrasound online course provides participants with a strong foundation to perform the core ultrasound applications as outlined in the AIUM ultrasound practice guidelines. Program topics include anatomy/physiology, scan protocols/techniques, and normal & abnormal duplex/color flow characteristics of the carotid arterial system.
Introduction to Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound online course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to peripheral vascular sonography and has been designed to provide a strong foundation to perform and/or interpret vascular ultrasound examinations. The participant will identify the essentials for establishing scan protocols, and experienced faculty will guide you through upper and lower extremity anatomy and vascular ultrasound characteristics.
The Introduction to Transcranial Doppler online course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction and review of Transcranial Doppler ultrasound. This enduring material is designed to provide a comprehensive review of how to perform and/or interpret TCD and TCI examinations. This program will explore neuro-anatomy, Doppler waveform characteristics (normal/abnormal), scan techniques, diagnostic criteria, protocols specific to TCD/TCI exams, and clinical applications for TCD/TCI which are taught in accordance with AIUM and IAC guidelines.
This activity is designed for the physician with a minimum of three months experience performing and/or interpreting non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations. An overview of diagnostic criteria and how to structure a report for carotid, peripheral vascular, and miscellaneous other vascular applications is provided. Over 100 vascular ultrasound cases are reviewed in and “double-read” format. Discussion regarding the examinations results is provided after each case is presented and answers are recorded. A signed log of the examinations interpreted is provided at the conclusion of the activity
